About Lam Bo Buffet

Located at 6159 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77057, Lam Bo Buffet operates as a chinese buffet serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under chinese restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (713) 783-6838. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 4,297 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I visited Lambos for the first time in years and was shocked that hardly anything had changed and the food was cold/warm as opposed to hot. Considering I arrived shortly after they opened (11:15am) "hot foods" shouldn't be cold. The customer service was great, the staff always got me water and removed plates quickly and were very polite. The sauce on the generals chick appears to have changed and wasn't tasty. Vegetable rolls, egg rolls, crab ragoons/cream puffs, rice etc were all cold/barely warm. Which is not only disappointing as a patron but dangerous from a food safety perspective. I love lambos and hopefully next time they'll do better.

We were a group of 3 visiting Lam Bo Buffet. Unfortunately, the experience was not great. Some of the food was cold and had no taste . The salmon was not fully cooked, which was disappointing. I hope they improve the food quality and temperature in the future. Definitely am not going back there again.

Lam Bo Buffet was the scariest place to eat my Sunday brunch. Food was no so great. Cheapest buffet in Houston and you get what you paid for. This place was so crowded. I was there in the summer after shopping at Goodwill store next door. The table and chairs were sticky. Not coming back.

Lam Bo Chinese Buffet on Westheimer offers a wide variety of dishes at an affordable price. The buffet has everything from seafood like crawfish and shrimp to classic Chinese favorites. The staff are generally friendly and attentive, and it’s a good spot for a casual, budget-friendly meal. Some dishes can be a bit hit or miss in flavor and temperature, but overall it’s worth trying if you want variety.

Lam Bo was a Chinese Buffet I frequented consistently years ago till around 2009 when I moved to a different town. Back then I really enjoyed this restaurant so I knew what to expect. The service was Great, Big selection of dishes, Clean and Spacious with sections available for parties or get togethers of large crowds. My only issue is the food what is just plain stuff I could find at other restaurants. Yes they offer fresh sushi, soups that were Fresh and Flavorful. But other dishes were just plain. They need to kick it up a notch.πŸ™‚
